ENIGMA 16265 is the flagship program of the Applied Dynamics Initiative non-profit family of STEAM Education programs who’s mission is: “To spark an interest and nurture a passion in students for participation in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Arts & Mathematics.” We accomplish this mission via educational classes and extracurricular activities with a heavy emphasis on robotics while participating in the FIRST Inspires family of programs, FIRST Lego League, FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition. The famous saying of the founder of FIRST Inspires, Dean Kamen is “This is the only sport where every student can go professional.”. Another saying we love is that “Kids build robots, Robots build kids!”.
ENIGMA 16265 is a 5th year veteran team and are 4 time New Mexico State Championship Winning Alliance Captains winner and 2022 New Mexico State Championship Inspire Award winner earning a trip the World Championship. In these 5 years we’ve been ranked as high as 54th in the world and in this season sit at 98th out roughly 8000 registered teams. We are so excited to get another chance to compete at The World Championship. It is an experience for these students like none other.
We practice Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition.
Our programs are building a highly skilled workforce for New Mexico by teaching skills in all the STEAM categories and providing opportunities for students to pursue careers in these high paying fields.
We are 100% operated by volunteers and you can rest assured that your contributions go the benefit of the students we serve.

Running a robotics team can be very expensive as we are responsible to get all of our own power tools, hand tools, tool chests/cabinets, workbenches, electronics, computers, robot parts, competition field / game pieces for programming, uniforms, materials to build a pit, merchandise to give out at competitions, and we travel a lot for competitions. We didn’t want to just ask for money so we come up with a way to give our supports something awesome for helping us out. Remember many of these students will go on to receive scholarship opportunities due to the professional skills learned while participating in competitive robotics.
